You know when I got married I didn't even realize it was customary to give a gift to my groomsmen. I think I just thought the future Mrs. handled everything and all I had to do was just agree. For the most part I was right but looking back on it I now realize that it would have been a nice touch for me to handle the groomsmen gifts.
She handled everything and it was a spectacular wedding. Don't get me wrong. It was an incredible affair and she pulled it off inside of an impressively small budget. She's good that way.

If we had it left up to us we'd probably buy a gift certificate for beer or tickets to the favorite teams local games. But that's not going to cut it with the future wife. It's kind of a tough thing. I think over the years I've received a number of groomsmen gifts but to tell the truth I can't remember what they were. I think maybe there was an overnight kit with some nice smelling aftershave or something. Maybe a monogrammed money clip. There could have even been a beer mug with my name on it. I seem to have a few of those that I can't seem to place the origin of.
