JD BARTH CUSTOM KNIVES

Your rating: None

I make my home in western western Montana. I am a member of the Montana Knifemakers Association and the Oregon Knife Collectors Association. I have been lucky enough to have some of my knives in Blade Magazine, which was quite exciting to me. I try to make every knife as if it were my own. Knives that are made of ATS-34 stainless steel are sub-zero quenched and double tempered, to 59-60 rockwell hardness. I also work with stainless damascus and carbon damascus steel. All blades are hollow ground, with tapered tangs or full tangs with filework depending on model. Models with guards are nickel silver. Models with bolsters are made with 416 stainless and are dovetailed. All models come with red liner between tang and handle material. Options include fancy stabilized hardwood, mammoth ivory, giraffe bone, fancy mosaic handle pins. Each knife comes with a wet formed hand-stitched sheath of 8-9 ounce leather, also made by me. Sheaths can be a right or left hand. All knives come with a Certificate of Origin and a storage sock.
