The Atlanta Falcons have been a NFL team since their formation in 1966 as an expansion team. They play in the NFC South Division and call the Georgia Dome home.
The team was first owned by Rankin Smith Sr. but is now currently owned by Arthur Blank. The Falcons have also had 14 head coaches since they were formed starting with Norb Hecker and now with Mike Smith being the current one. The Falcons started their first season in 1966, since then they have won three Division Championships and won a trip to Super Bowl XXXIII in Miami, Florida. They faced off against the Denver Broncos and were overtaken by them as well with the final score being Broncos 34, Falcons 19.
